waves wet
the beach cobbles . . .
cooing eiders
twilight chill
a distant woodcock
repeats his call
storm swell
gulls dipping in and
out of sight
gale warning
a blossom-white apple tree
rustles with waxwings
green lights
all the way home —
sun on new leaves
lifting fog . . .
the revelation
of green
whitecaps . . .
a gannet dips
below the rainclouds
clearing skies . . .
an indigo bunting
amid dandelions
fog-shrouded harbor
a heron flies silently
out to sea
old pond . . .
fog frames
a white egret
brightening sky
from dandelion to dandelion
a duskywing
