bleak sky
following crows’ calls
to a perched eagle
rain turning to snow
a wren scolds
in the cedar hedge
late winter woods
the silence of passing
turkeys
brief thaw
green places on the map
lichen
what’s right with this world
fisher tracks follow
a fallen tree
fresh tracks
the distant whine
of a snowmobile
cabin fever
a chipmunk pops up
through the snow
snow angel
more than half my life
behind me
in the space between snowflakes sparrow song
Mars landing
a stink bug explores
my desktop
(Actually it was a Western Conifer Seed Bug, but it looks like a stink bug)
snow and blue sky
my feet don’t touch
the ground
