evening cool
we turn off the fans
to hear crickets
summer ennui
St. John’s wort flowers
boost my mood
strong morning light
the injured robin
avoids rescue
as if he knows what I need to hear cardinal song
high summer doing lines of traffic
midsummer
my neighbor’s sunflowers
turn this way
Monday morning
the thunderstorm rolls in
right on time
ocean swim
the gentle touch
of seaweed
a cicada
competes with the road work . . .
morning heat
sun burning through fog
I forget the name of this
pink day lily
thunderclouds a rising column of gnats
