pre-dawn lightning
a disturbing dream
starts to make sense
wild strawberries
picking my way
along the shore trail
I didn’t like the first haiku I wrote tonight, so I deleted that post. Here’s another, perhaps better?:
island twilight
lighthouse beacon brightens
every fifteen seconds
skype conversation
with a grieving friend
late night rain
black locust
gauging the wind speed
by flowers’ sway
bowl of peonies
I carry the ants
back outside
breakfast on the porch
saving some strawberries
for the crows
island lighthouse
in every direction
sun shining on sea
solstice rain
roadside ditch brimming
with buttercups
solstice rain
at the farmers market
first strawberries
almost summer
sphinx moth waiting
on a wicker chair
