the lady’s slippers
I don’t see
also matter
cat sunning
on a windowsill
this visible world
home alone
the urgency
in the redstart’s song
peonies in bloom
all we hope
summer will bring
so many questions
first thing in the morning
vireo
field grasses
a green-eyed dragonfly
pauses on a stem
Saturday morning…
a distant lawnmower
and a rooster
parting clouds
a sundragon perches
in the tall grasses
rain all day
a family of crows
explores the lawn
picking my way
along the riverbank
yellow iris
longer days
a chipmunk’s incessant
alarm calls
