winter river
slowly the black duck
not a rock
snow-shoveling
the house finch’s long song
thaws my mood
local color
the red ice-fishing shack
fills with stories
daytime moon
the way crows stand out
in fresh snow
heavy with snow
the backyard : the sky
so white
storm warning
a flock of mallards
flies upriver
mammogram
shifting storm clouds reveal
the hilltops
winter rain
quickly the cat
changes her mind
my long sweater
the color of forsythia
winter rain
morning mist
mingling with woodsmoke
january thaw
Orion’s belt
three wishes sometimes
aren’t enough
