shortest day
the low arc of fox tracks
in the snow
winter dusk
crows and more crows
heading to roost
fresh snow
clusters of crows here and there
up to something
winter barrens
a scattered shower
of snow buntings
northwest wind
the evening star setting
at twilight
winter rain
the persisting green
of Christmas ferns
climate change
the gift of spring floods
for the holidays
winterberries
I find myself thinking
like a bird
cold moon
attending the Christmas bash
decked in lights
winter rain
the cold silence
of a passing jay
cloudy summit
unseen raven calling
overhead
